RABBIS & COMMUNITY LEADERS- THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE MANY VOICES / ONE MESSAGE CAMPAIGN

For more information on Project S.A.R.A.H. services, visit www.projectsarah.org

Project S.A.R.A.H. is a domestic abuse project funded by the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety – Stop the Violence Against Women Grants Program in conjunction with Passaic County Women’s Center, the Jewish Family Service division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Clifton/Passaic, private donations and foundations.

Our Mission: Project S.A.R.A.H. assists Jewish women throughout the State of New Jersey. The Project seeks to overcome the cultural, religious and linguistic barriers that prevent victims from acknowledging the problem of domestic abuse. It aids the Jewish community in finding appropriate ways to access victims’ services. While our focus is on Orthodox Jewish women, no one in need of help is ever turned away.

In 2007, Project S.A.R.A.H. engaged in a pilot project with the NYU Center on Violence and Recovery called Healing Circles. It is a community-based domestic violence intervention. It brings together an affected couple, their children and a care community of family and friends to address verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. This supportive circle helps the couple reexamine underlying relationship issues and destructive behaviors, develops a plan for them to heal and move forward, and monitors their progress.

Are you, or someone you know, experiencing emotional or physical abuse in your marriage or family?

Are you looking for assistance in ending the abuse?

 Speak to someone confidentially.
Call (973) 777-7638 and ask for Project S.A.R.A.H. and/or intake.
